About Me

My name is Doha, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist who holds an MA in Counselling and a BA in Psychology and Sociology. I am passionate about supporting and mentoring youth as they navigate the different parts of their life related to school, work, mental health, as well as their cultural identity. My previous work as a Child and Youth Clinical Counsellor at the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO) has strengthened my ambition for working with young people.

My favourite part of my work was connecting with the youth through meaningful conversations, learning from them and their interests, and coming up with a plan, together. I empower the youth that I work with to know that they have the skills and resources inside of them and we will work on leaning into them as we create a plan. My area of special interest includes supporting youth and reducing systemic barriers for an equitable transition into employment while strengthening their communication skills, emotional regulation, and workplace readiness.
